About Jana Barberio
Jana Barberio has worked as a freelance writer since 1994. She worked as a paralegal previously. Since 1994, she has enjoyed work as a newspaper photographer and Microsoft Word teacher.
She and her husband, John, an I/T arhitect, co-founded the Holly Computer User Group in Holly, Michigan, December 7, 1996. It is still going strong. They recently relocated to Chesapeake Beach, Maryland and founded the Twin Beach Computer User Group, January 13, 2001.
Jana works as a "writing coach" to help area residents write their life stories. In addition to her columns, she writes play reviews for the Southern Maryland Extra section of the Washington Post. She has reviewed performances by the local theater group, Twin Beach Players, which include: "Run For Your Wife," "Steel Magnolias," "Little Women," and "Tartuffe." Jana made her first national sale this year to "Massage Magazine."
